Last week I had the privelege to go to IJsselstein for my work. I had a training and I stayed in this lovely small city.
The hotel I stayed at was in the middle of the main street. It’s called Bites & Nights. The staff is very charming and the restaurant is very modern and appealing.
The concept of the restaurant is an ‘All you can eat’ one. You can order a maximum of four dishes in five rounds. It has an international cuisine from European to Mexican to Japanese.
The food was delicious, I had a good night sleep although the room was outdated. It had a big flatscreen TV and that was like a small band aid on the wound.
Whilst in IJsselstein I did some shopping and I found these new facial wipes from Diadermine with Argan oil. Even though it’s a bit on the dry side, it’s great for my skin and it smells wonderful. I would like to hear your opinion.
Last week we went shopping in Amsterdam. I was looking for a decent professional handbag. And my daughters were looking for some cool clothes.
At first I wanted a light grey shopper… Yet at the end I found a much better color combination. And the winner is… drum roll please… the Guess Delaney darkgrey shopper with black logodessin and beige handles.
We saw that now Amsterdam also has a Topshop, since February 26th. I’ll post a blog about that next month. Because this time around we came across a very nice and bright store: Pull&Bear. The interior is very refreshing, Palm Springs California is the inspiration for this shop. They have very nice clothes and accecoiries.
Next to the dressing rooms we saw this outstanding idea of this store: they have a spot where you can upload your mobile phone. Isn’t that awesome?!
And of course, we couldn’t resist a visit to Starbucks. I love the Frappucino Mocha. My daughters both got a hot chocolate. It was a fun shopping day.
