TAG: I ♥ Drugstore/ cheap makeup

This is the first TAG ever for me. So I’m very excited about this. I have to thank Jessica Leeman from Beautiful, Breakable for tagging me. So here it goes!

  1. What is your favourite drugstore/cheap makeup brand overall?

L’Oréal is my favourite drugstore/ cheap makeup brand. I especially love the L’Oréal Blur Cream Foundation (13,95) they just released. It feels so silky and it makes your face really flawless. I love. Love. Love. This!

  1. What are your favourite face, cheek and lip products?

Favorite face product is the Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing powder (€3,99). I use this bronzer for several purposes, I use it to contour my face and I also use it as an eyeshadow.

Favorite cheek product is the Catrice Defining blush in the color 060 Rosewood Forest for €3,59. The color in the packing looks very different then when you apply it on your cheeks. It’s surprisingly beautiful! Unexpectedly just fab.

Favorite lip product is the H&M lip gloss (€2,95) in the color Peach Sand. It’s very glossy, and it’s a neutral color and I love neutral colors.

  1. Least favourite product

My least favourite drugstore/ cheap makeup is the Rimmel Day 2 Night Glam’eyes mascara (€12,69). It really does what it proclaims to do. But it dries out too fast in the bottle. And that’s a pitty.

  1. Whatis the best makeup bargain?

My best makeup bargain is the Catrice matte bronzer. It’s only €3,99. It is a bargain, especially because I use it for multi purposes.

  1. What is your favorite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)

My favourite underdog product is the Catrice Allround Concealer palette for only €3,59. It has 5 different colors for several purporses; green, red and three different shades of beige.

  1. A drugstore product that is overpriced?

A drugstore product that is overpriced are the mascaras from Rimmel. Okay, they do the work, but they dry out so soon.

  1. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)!

My best drugstore dupe I’ve yet have to buy…

  1. Drugstore product that isn’t worth the hype?

A drugstore/ cheap product that isn’t worth the hype is the Essence All About Matt! Fixing compact powder in transluscent color. The hype I got sucked in was about transluscent powder. I don’t like the finish of this one brand on my face and the powder broke and fell out of the packing in only a few uses. Maybe if I try another brand it will give me the result I am looking for.

#OOTD Simple in black

Today I’m wearing my black pencil skirt from Jane Norman. I don’t wear it a lot, because it’s a bit hard to walk in it. I combined it with a Simple black shirt from Promiss. I love the neckline of this shirt. It makes my look a little chic. To complete the look I added a bold necklace. I’m wearing my silver sandals with this outfit, but you can finish it off with some black sandals as well. I have to thank Stalking Style Will Never Ends for giving me the inspiration to this look! 20140727-133505-48905520.jpg

Reached more than 100!

Pinterest clothes combo reached 100 and more

This summer outfit I pinned on Pinterest got more than 100 times pinned. I’m very thankful for that. Does this means you rock on Pinterest…? idk… (= I don’t know). The outfit has two of my favourite colors: white and grey. They are cool colors, yet they are very classy. And combining them together is like… WOW! All the accessories are in dark brown, that makes the outfit complete. Oh no, wait… adding a Panama hat in the right colors. That would make it Perrrfect!

Hot piece this Festival season: the Kimono

Festival ready outfit 140704

The last couple of years I’ve been attending some festivals with my best friend. Festivals are really great to attend, there is music and there is a relaxing atmosphere. I really enjoy myself.

From what I remember last year, the hot piece was the clutch. I saw many girls walk with their clutch around at the festivals.

And this year, without a doubt, the hot piece is… the kimono. I saw it already at several festivals. So if you want to look stylish this year, try the kimono. I’ve combined it with short shorts, a tank top, a bold necklace and several big rings. To finish it of I added an eye-catching bag and ‘ready for the spotlight’ sandals.

Enjoy the Festival season!

Nominated for: Beauty blogger of the month

nominated for beauty blogger of the month 072014

I’ve been nominated by Jessica Leeman from the Beautiful, Breakable blog. Thank you so much Jessica for nominating me.

The next questions will tell a bit about me, the beauty part of me that is:

1. Where does your makeup inspiration come from?

My makeup inspiration comes actually from watching tutorials on Youtube from youtubers like MissMaven, Carli Bybel, Camila Coelho, Jaclyn Hill and Lauren Curtis. I always was interested in Makeup but didn’t know how to do it well. Through the years I gathered tips and advise from makeup artists I met. I even bought a book about it. But watching tutorials gave me the redeeming answers to all my questions I had about makeup.

2. What are 3 of your makeup Holy Grail products you cannot live without?

My 3 makeup Holy Grail are; concealer, mascara and lipgloss.

3. What is your makeup signature look which you have on most of the time?

I love natural colors, so I love a natural look. I also love when a product has multipurpose. Like my matte bronzer, I contour my face with it, I also use it as an eyeshadow. I use the matt bronzer in my crease applying it with a blending brush. I use a silver eyeshadow on my eyelid, and then with a pencil brush I apply a darkbrown eyeshadow in the outer corner of my eye to extend my eye a little. With a black eyeliner and a black mascara I then finish of my eye makeup. To finish the look I use a pink blush and a nude lipstick and nude lipgloss. And that’s it, very easy.

4. Let us know your favorite makeup brands?

My favorite makeup brands are BH cosmetics, LORAC, Urban Decay, L’Oreal, MAC, Sephora, Tarte cosmetics, NYX, Benefit and Laura Mercier.

5. Your ultimate makeup pet peeve?

When applying mascara, I usually get mascara on my eyelid… how annoying…

6. You’ve heard about all the hype on this makeup item, bought it, tried it and don’t understand what all the fuss is about…Name that product!

I have to admit, I have no experience with this.

7. Concealer OR foundation ONLY for the rest of your life. Choose one and tell us the reason!

I would have to go for concealer, can’t live without it (see answer to question no. 2). Using a concealer is enough for me to get a flawless look.

I hope you like the this post.

Hi Stylistas,

Because of my love for style, beauty and shopping (of course!), I started this blog. I regurlay receive compliments about how I wear my clothes and do my make-up.

I also love to write. So why not combine these things together into ONE.

On this blog you are going to see stylish clothes combinations made for several occasions. You can read my blogs and see photos here.

I love to use one jewelry or a make-up item for several purposes, multi-purpose use is really my thing. I’ll blog about that too.

Since I’m give workshops about make-up and I coach ladies about what to wear and how to conduct themselves positively, I’ll share my experiences about that too.

I hope you enjoy it and I would like to read your comments.
